Who's ready for scandal?

Rose Bonkelsford is too old for the orphanage. She takes on a new role as a governess for a family that can’t seem to keep track of their children.

With the Christmas season closing in and winter taking hold, Rose finds it impossible to turn extra children away. After all, they remind her so much of herself.

But her endeavours to rescue foundlings puts a strain on the estate, and bring her to the notice of the head of the household, Baron Gregory.

Baron Gregory noticed Rose Bonklesford the moment she arrived. He’s inventing reasons to visit her and involve her in extra tasks with the flimsiest excuse.

He’s seen how wonderful she is with the children, including the many by-blows who are the result of his late brother’s lascivious behaviour.

He cannot keep inventing reasons to include Miss Bonklesford in his activities. But he also cannot help himself as her kisses unravel his tightly controlled emotions.

It might be getting very cold outside, but Miss Bonklesford and Baron Gregory are about to combust.
